Strata Hero was born out of a simple but frustrating discovery: owners corporations across Australia were systematically overpaying for their strata insurance. The culprit? Hidden commissions embedded within policies arranged through strata management companies.
Our founders, having worked across both strata management and insurance, saw how these commissions — often 20% or more of the premium — were quietly inflating costs for building owners. Strata managers had little incentive to shop around for better deals when their revenue was tied to higher premiums.
We created Strata Hero to break that cycle. As an independent insurance intermediary, we work solely for owners corporations. We compare policies across the market, negotiate directly with insurers, and pass the savings on to building owners — not strata managers.
